Extract Chilling Ball Set
Introducing the extract chilling ball to retain more flavours from your espresso. As the espresso flows over the chilled ball, it rapidly absorbs the heat from the initial phase of the shot. The cooling phase of espresso extraction preserves and captures higher amounts of volatile aromatic compounds, flavours that would otherwise be lost to the surroundings. In short, the whole process helps to cool your espresso faster, keep your espresso shot at an ideal drinking temperature and maximise the flavours of your espresso, with less harshness.

Usage guide ⏩
Place the chilling ball in the freezer. Allow to freeze for about 1 hour to ensure optimal cooling performance. Take the ball from the freezer when you're ready to pull your shot. Position the set onto your cup, directly under your portafilter making sure the espresso will flow to the middle of the ball. Begin your espresso extraction as per usual.
If you use them for pour-over, place them directly underneath your brewers’ outlet valve or drip coffee brewers – not touching the chilling ball. Recommended to chill only the first pour or 20-30% as suggested by some pro brewers. Really up to you to find your personal preferred recipe.
Care and Maintenance ⏩
After each use, rinse the chilling ball under running water to remove any coffee residue. For a more thorough cleaning, hand wash all components with dishwashing liquid and water. Make sure all components are thoroughly dried before placing them back in the freezer to prevent ice build-up. Not dishwasher safe!
